At Music Academy ‘Aspa Vasiliou’, we believe that music thrives in community. In addition to our individual instrument and voice lessons, we offer a variety of group programs and musical activities designed to inspire collaboration, creativity, and deeper musical understanding. These offerings are ideal for students looking to expand their skills, build confidence through performance, and experience the joy of making music with others.

Musical Activities for Young Children (Ages 3–6)

Our early childhood music program introduces young learners to the fundamentals of music through engaging, age-appropriate activities. Children explore rhythm, melody, movement, and instruments in a playful environment that fosters creativity, listening skills, and early coordination. It’s the perfect first step into the world of music.

Children’s Choir

Open to young singers of all levels, our children’s choir helps students develop healthy vocal technique, pitch accuracy, and ensemble skills. Rehearsals are fun, dynamic, and focused on teamwork and musical expression. Choir members have opportunities to perform in concerts and seasonal events throughout the year.

Guitar Ensemble

Guitar students can join our ensemble program to develop their skills in a group setting. Through collaborative practice, students learn harmony, rhythm, and group performance techniques, while exploring a wide range of styles—from classical to contemporary. Playing together builds timing, confidence, and a strong musical ear.

Strings Ensemble

Ideal for violin, viola, cello, and double bass students, our strings ensemble provides valuable experience in chamber and orchestral playing. Students focus on intonation, balance, and communication within the group, and enjoy the opportunity to rehearse and perform ensemble repertoire in a supportive setting.

Rock Band

For students who want to take their playing to the stage, our rock band program offers a fun and structured environment to explore modern music styles. Students learn how to rehearse and perform together, develop stage presence, and experiment with songwriting and arranging. It’s an exciting and energizing way to grow as a performer.

Music Theory, Aural Training, Solfege, Musicology, and GCSE Music

We offer academic music classes that support students in developing a well-rounded understanding of music. These include theory fundamentals, ear training, solfege (sight-singing), and musicology (the study of music history and culture). For school-age students, we also provide preparation for GCSE Music and other academic music qualifications in line with UK-based curricula.

Musical Theatre

Our musical theatre program brings together singing, acting, and movement in an exciting, performance-based environment. Students learn vocal technique, stagecraft, character development, and ensemble performance while working on scenes and numbers from well-loved musicals. It’s perfect for young performers who love being in the spotlight and want to grow in both confidence and creativity.
