Marios Stylianou
Marios Stylianou began his musical journey at the age of seven with piano lessons, eventually discovering a deep passion for the cello. This passion led him to pursue formal studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where he earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance and a Master’s degree in Stylistic Interpretation.
As a teenager, Marios distinguished himself as the principal cellist of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, demonstrating both leadership and musical excellence. His professional performance experience includes collaborations with a range of ensembles in Cyprus, most notably the Limassol Municipality Symphony Orchestra, as well as international appearances, such as performing as a guest cellist with the Romanian National Radio Orchestra.
Marios is a dedicated and inspiring teacher who returned to Cyprus in 2023. Since then, he has been actively sharing his expertise with the next generation of cellists, teaching at various music schools across Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca, and Famagusta. His teaching combines technical precision with expressive musicality, and he is passionate about helping students unlock their full artistic potential through the cello.
